User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425 The page is terribly designed - good target to test the tool... The page contains zillion of images, takes forever to download. So, before I tried to print it, I saved it as "Web page, complete" - really great feature! When I tried to print the saved page from my hard drive, "shrink to fit" feature gives 100% zoom, "Print preview" shows the page that is still too wide (some clipping on the right side). Clipping was "fixed" when I manually set 80% zoom. When I tried to print this page from Netscape 6.2, I had same result except N6.2 does not let me set zoom. Another problem: images caught between pages are cut: top part of the image remains at the bottom of the previous page, bottom part of the image goes to the next page. I have a screen shot that demonstrates both problems. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open www.costumejewelrywholesale.com, wait until it downloads(with my 56K modem it took about 30 or 40 min.) - the page contains about 8 MB of images) 2. Save the page as "Web page, complete". 3. Close the page and open it from the hard drive, wait until it opens (with my Pentium 2 it took a couple of minutes). 4. Click "File" - Page setup", make sure that "shrink to fit" box is checked. 5. Click "File" - "Print preview" (my Pentium 2 took a few minutes to do the preview), scroll down. Actual Results: 1. Images on the right do not fit. 2. Images caught between pages are split between to pages. Expected Results: 1. Automatically zoom the page down to fit the paper width. 2. If an image at the bottom of a page is too high, it should be started from the next page rather than split between pages. Mozilla 1.3.1, Windows 98 SE, Pentium 2, 233 MHz, 64 MB RAM. Screen shot in JPEG format (249 KB) will be sent upon request.
The Shrink to Fit worked fine for me; none of the images were cut off at the right margin. (note that I didn't save the webpage to disk). Does this problem still occur with a more recent version of Mozilla? I did observe some images being split between two pages though; that probably has to do with tables. By the way, you can attach your screenshot (if it is still current) by clicking on Create New Attachment.
No response. Closing.
