Build Date & Platform Bug Found:
MacOS commercial seamonkey build 1999-12-06-08-m12 installed on G3/400 OS 8.6
Overview Description:
On Mac, the Send Page operation fails if you try to send a html page that is
stored on your local drive. I opened a simple HTML file created from 4.7 in 5.0
then try to send this page. My HTML file had only one line e.g "This is a test"
The warning dialog said, "! [StringID(hex)=8000fff?]"
This problem does not occurs on Win32 or Linux.
Note: if I load a web page such as http://www.netscape.com (not stored on my
local hard drive, I can successfully send the page.
Steps to Reproduce:
0) In Communicator 4.7, use Page Composer to create a simple html page.
I had only one line of text. Save this html file to your desktop.
1) Launch Seamonkey
The browser window should appear.
2) Select the File menu and choose "Open File" menu option
The Open dialog appears.
3) Select the HTML file that you created in 4.7 and click on the open button.
A new browser window should be opened and the web page loaded in the browser.
4) Select the File menu and choose "Send Page" menu option
A HTML compose window should appear.
The subject line is filled in with the HTML file name, the attachment area
shows the html file listed, and the URL appears in the message body.
5) Address the mail message to someone.
6) Click on the send button.
Error message appears.
Actual Results:
When you try to send. You receive a warning dialog that displays the following
error message. "! [StringID(hex)=8000fff?]" The message is not sent.
Expected Results:
The Send Page operation should have been completed and the message sent.
Additional Builds and Platforms Tested On:
This problem does not occur on Win32 (1999-12-06-09-m12) or Linux
(1999-12-06-08-m12) commercial seamonkey build. I can successfully complete the
send page operation.
Additional Information:
This bug was found while verifying bug 18372.
fyi,
I performed my tests under IMAP. I did check my prefs.js file and my fcc path is
correct. In Messenger, I can send a mail message and the mail message does get
stored in my Send folder stored under IMAP.

the fix for bug 22198 also fix this bug. However, now we are not displaying correctly the url in the attachment pane.
We display is as escaped (with %nn characters). I have a fix for that waiting to be reviewed...
