Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030612 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030612 The mail client comes with inbuilt smilie icons for character combinations such as :) :( ;). Chatzilla also comes with it's own set of inbuilt smilies. It'd be nice if Mozilla could have a suite-wide set of smilies with a consistent appearance throughout. It would also be nice to have the ability to apply one's own smilie packs (a la icon packs) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. send yourself an email with the text :) :( ;) 2. wait for it to arrive then read it. 3. notice the (rather large and odd-looking) smilies 1. open chatzilla 2. type :) :( ;) 3. notice the (rather small) smilies Actual Results: Different smilies, neither of which are great. Expected Results: Mozilla should have, in these instances, shown the same, nicer smilies in both mail and chatzilla.
This is actually several bugs in one, both of which I believe are duplicates. Bug 84950 deals with allowing emoticons to be customized/skinned, and bug 115186 is the place to talk about changing ChatZilla's smilies. As far as improving the overall look of smilies, see bug 217855. I'm going to dupe this against bug 84950, since that matches the summary. If I misunderstood what you're asking for, feel free to reopen or comment. Thanks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 84950 ***
