In Mozilla 1.4 final on both OSX and Win32 (presumably All), Preferences -> Advanced -> Cache does not have any settings for Memory Cache, only for Disk Cache. However, the Help file thinks it does: Index -> C -> Cache -> Changing Cache Settings: "To set the size of the memory cache or to clear it (Windows and Unix only): 1. Open the Edit menu and click Preferences. 2. Under the Advanced category, click Cache. (If no subcategories are visible, double-click Advanced to expand the list.) 3. Enter a number in the Memory Cache field to specify the size of the memory cache. 1024K to 2000K is a good size. To clear the memory cache immediately, click Clear Memory Cache. Important: A larger memory cache allows more data to be quickly retrieved. But unless you have a lot of extra memory on your computer, 1024K is sufficient." Contents -> Customizing Mozilla -> Navigator Settings -> Advanced -> Cache: "# Memory Cache: Type in the amount of memory-based cache you want to allocate for Mozilla. Memory cache is erased when you turn off or restart the computer." "# Clear Memory Cache: Click this to clear the memory cache." Various Search entries under the term "cache" lead to these two results.
fixed in Netscape 7.1

R.J. Keller, I can still see text on memory cache in 2003091223 build. Is this bug really fixed?
Where are you seeing it? Can you give the exact text?

Comment on attachment 129505 [details] [diff] [review] Patch a=mkaply Although this is translation related, it doesn't break anything by changing it except some translations might not match the English which isn't terribly bad.
