Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030718 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030718 I have four address books, in addition to the default ones, and of those one causes the Card Summary Pane to jitter when any contact from that address book is being viewed. This address book contains all of the entries imported from Outlook Express and I believe this file may be corrupt. This only occurs when the Card Summary Pane handle is in its default position (where the sizing handle intersects the top of the Address Books' sizing handle). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Ensure Card Summary Pane is visible 2.Open Address Book 3.Click on suspect address book Actual Results: Card Summary Pane handle jitters approximately 1/2 cm up and down. Expected Results: Card Summary Pane handle should remain fixed. When I resized the Card Summary Pane the handle stopped jittering.
When all contacts from the address book in question are moved to a different address book and then back again, the problem disappears. As well, I think that the address book's file in question was corrupt from either the import or moving and deleting contacts. I did the following steps to recreate the problem: 1.Created a new address book named 'test' 2.Closed Mozilla 3.Deleted the newly created address book file and renamed a copy of the corrupt file to that of the file just deleted 4.Started Mozilla's Address Book 5.Clicked on the new address book
I just deleted the address book in question and now the last address book listed causes the Card Summary Pane handle to jitter.
In an unrelated post at the calendar newsgroup (netscape.public.mozilla.calendar) I stumbled upon a duplicate of this bug, which is bug 199906.
Reporter, please recheck this in a 1.4.1 candidate build or recent trunk build, and resolve the bug if appropriate. This looks similar to fixed bug 201379. Also note the example mentioned in that bug, http://www.xulplanet.com/tutorials/xultu/examples/findfile/findfile-trees.xul
