User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030718 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030718 with the preview pane 'visible' preference checked, when i open up mail/news the preview window jiggles and jumps and causes Mozilla to become unreponsive for most keystrokes (ctrl>alt>del to shut down the program.) also 'frozen' in the window is a prompt for password to get my mail from the server---although i can enter my password, the submit and cancel buttons are unresponsive. i was able to clear the visible preference and after restarting news/mail, seems that mail/news runs ok with the preview window unchecked. however if i reset it to show the preview pane, the jiggling and bouncing start up all over again. re-installing Mozilla doesn't fix it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. just open mail/news (with the preview pane preference 'on' 2. or if preview pane is 'off', just turn it on 3. Actual Results: preview pane jiggles, bounces and jumps indefinately and program basically freezes up Expected Results: nothing, except show the preview of the message am using default them, running XP Home Edition V5.1 (build 2600 xpsp2.030422-1633: Service Pack 1), have 512 ram, 60 gig hard drive, and an AMD Athlon XP Processor, ATI Mobility Radeon Graphics.

Reporter, please recheck this in a 1.4.1 candidate build or recent trunk build, and resolve the bug if appropriate. This looks similar to fixed bug 201379. Also note the example mentioned in that bug, http://www.xulplanet.com/tutorials/xultu/examples/findfile/findfile-trees.xul
