Regression from Netscape 4.x: it was possible to copy a window in the cliboard
(keys ALT+SCREEN_COPY) and then to paste it as a GIF image in a mail. This
function is not available with Mozilla 1.4.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Windows OS: ALT+SCREEN_COPY to copy the window with the focus to the clipboard  
2. click in the mail editor windows to select the edition.
3. CTRL+V to paste the windows copy as an image in the mail.

Actual Results:  
Nothing

Expected Results:  
Netscape 4.x used to proposed a windows with radio buttons to choose the image
quality.
You click the OK button and then a .GIF image is inserted in the mail with a
compression level according to the selected quality level.


Same problem with image copied from other sources (Powerpoint, ...).

21747 duplicate?
21747 is declared as dealing with Linux platform (Netscape 4.x and following
Mozilla version have never supported image cut and paste on X-Windows layer)
whereas bug 219258 intends to point out a regression on Windows platform (as far
as I can remember, image cut and paste was supported on all Netscape 4.x and
perhaps even on Netscape 3.). 
For my users, this regression is one of the few points that blocks migration
from Netscape 4.79 to Mozilla.

Matti was actually wrong here. This is not a duplicate of bug 21747, but of bug
47838.
