User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030827 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030827 If one is playing around with the sort options for a mailbox via the column headings, you can create a screen full of phantom messages under certain circumstances when sorting by message threads Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Find a mailbox with a number of messages in it. You may need enough messages to make a scrollbar appear on the right. 2. Sort the mailbox by subject by clicking the Subject button 3. Now sort the mailbox by threads by clicking the Threads button 4. Scroll to the bottom, see the phantom messages (no details on messages, but there is an envelope icon, as well as recycle/new status buttons for each line 5. Switch to another mailbox, say Drafts, Templates, Sent, Junk, Trash, or other 6. Come back to the mailbox you were in. Phantom messages gone! Actual Results: At step 4, a screen full of phantom messages appears. At screen 6, they are gone. Expected Results: I wouldn't expect phantom messages to appear when one turns on threading for their current mailbox view. New users who stumble onto something as large as this may wonder about the rest of the software. Mozilla 1.5b, Windows 2000
