Go to www.eenadu.net Actual result: Non English fonts in the website were not rendered correctly. Expected result: Non English fonts in the website are rendered correctly. Importance: Supporting a non English font by Firebird may look like adding a feature to cater the need of a small group of users but Internationalization is a key feature among competing browsers. Internet Explorer 6 already supports the font at the site www.eenadu.net

This is certainly a dupe, but I'm not sure of which bug, and I'm not sure that comment 0 and comment 1 are necessarily exactly the same issue. bug 231354, bug 186463, and bug 158337 are all possibilities. You *may* be able to work around the problem by selecting "User defined" from View | Character Coding | More.

The attached klingon.ttf font also fails to render properly, displaying all text in the default font insted. This happens on Firefox 0.8 thou.

Tamil font sisutation is almost chaotic. Mozilla supports TSCII-encoded fonts,but there are a couple of other font-encodings and 'document encodings'. We do not want to support them all by any means. Please, tell your fellow Tamil people to use Unicode-based opentype fonts, one of Unicode encodings (UTF-8 or UTF-16) and move away from the things of the past.
