BMS issue. When they start Thunderbird / Mozilla mail in offline mode, we still think we are online and we try to connect to the server. Every time they click on a folder, they get a message about not being able to connect, then the folder behaves correctly for offline.
this may be tied to Bug #221734. I bet they aren't really in "offline mode" from the client's point of view when they start up because we don't support that yet.

this works fine for me, if I use the profile manager. Other than that, there's no way to start up offline. We don't remember your state from the last time you ran, so I think we need more info on how to reproduce this.
