This makes it lot easier than allwasy copying all addresses to one Top-Level-Whitelist-Addressbook. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
See Bug 187771 for the Mozilla Mailnews bug.
Or at least ability to specify multiple address books. If I had votes, I would put a lot on this one. It is annoying "losing" (misfiling) important mail from people in one of my address books.
Summary: enable all adress books whitelist for junkmail options → enable all address books for junkmail whitelist
*** Bug 240387 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I would strongly advocate for being able to specify which address books are whitelisted. I have found it very useful (in Eudora) to maintain address books corresponding to the priority of mail from particular people (ie: from mom, top priority), because I can then use filters to label the mail appropriately. I can do the labelling in Thunderbird but not the whitelisting.
After the bugzilla re-org, the dupe is now a Core bug; no need to maintain a separate TB bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 187771 ***
