It is very frustrating to have to reenter contact information into an email that
already exists in an address book when a simple drag-n-drop operation could
provide text contact info ora vcard-like attachment in the email.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start a mail composition
2.Open an address book and select an address
3.Drag the address to the text area - nothing happens
4.Drage the address to the attachment area - nothing happens.
Actual Results:
No attachements or transfer of contact information is placed in the current
email composition.
Expected Results:
Mozilla should have copied the contact information in text form or as a vcard
attachment to the current email composition.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.

I guess the full vCard support deficiency expressed in bug 29106 needs to be resolved before this bug can be tackled.
I wonder the ease with which this enhancement can be tackled, given that when dragging a attachment any part of the composing window can be used to drop it into, while for items from the address book dropping them on the sending list acts different.
An easier to implement solution (complementary to this one) would be through the use of some menu in the address book (e.g. "Add to New Message"), but that still depends on proper vCard content, input and output support.
