Symbliclly linked files don't work in ftp-directory view. Mozilla assumes all symblic links are to directories. Although symblic links looks like files AND directories (both underlined blue and has a "expand directory arrow") you can't click it to download. It would be really neat if mozilla could check each symblic link to see if it points to a file or a directory. This would preferrably be checked after the directory was shown, since there could take very long time to check all symblic links in a long listing. Until a link had been checked it can be shown as it is now (but clickable in case it points to a file).
I'm Using the 1999122023 build on Win98SE. Steps to reproduce: 1. Write ftp://ftp.scene.org/ in the url box 2. Click on appform.txt to download nothing happens. Expected to download the file ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/appform.txt Sorry for not writing this in the original bug report.

sicking, can you mark Verified if all is well for you? Thanks!

Works fine now, so marking verified. I've submitted bug 24389 for my RFE for mozilla to check the type of the symbolic links.
