User-Agent: Mozilla/1.6.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6.0; hi, Mom) Gecko/2003110115 Build Identifier: Mozilla/1.6.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6.0; hi, Mom) Gecko/2003110115 Add new filter then run filter on non-local folders. Worked on moz 1.5.0 but not work on 1.6.0. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open local folder need to be filter. Click a message. 2. click from as add to filter. 3. close filter message and run it on folder. Actual Results: at 3., moz 1.6.0 did not run. Moz 1.5.0 run and move the message to proper folder. Expected Results: Do what moz 1.5.0 did done.
Same with 1.7a Linux, filters only work on local folders and POP3 folders (not in news folders). "Run filters on folder" in the Tools menu is grayed out.

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040616 Confirmed as not working on moz 1.7 running on Windows 2000 for filters against IMAP4 folders. Created a number of new filters of various configurations, attempted to run each against IMAP4 inbox. Lots of processing resulted, but no action taken by Mozilla despite messages matching criteria in filters.

(In reply to comment #0) > 3. close filter message and run it on folder. Does this mean, using "Run Now" from the Message Filters dialog, or using "Run Filters on Folder" from the main menu? Bug 193000 is about filters failing to run manually on IMAP, possibly a dupe.
