after some quatify help from waterson, it doesn't look like we are necessarily
doing anything bad in the messenger back end.

most of the time appears to be in layout.

a couple notes:
1) as I scroll in the tree (with all the servers) the page on the right
flashes.(this is a new bug, and I'll log it.)
2) having the 5 iframes in the deck widget is hurting us. when I switch to just
having just one iframe, loading performance is much faster.

I believe this re-write (from multiple iframes in a deck widget to one iframe,
like prefs) was planned, as we are moving the account setup dialog into prefs.

once he and ben check in the rewrite of the account manager, this bug will be
fixed.

Resolution: --- → WONTFIX
since seth actually determined that the slowness was due to creation of multiple
IFRAMES, and the prefs window doesn't have multiple IFRAMEs, I'm going to mark
this bug WONTFIX because we won't be fixing the account setup dialog.
ok, mark verified won't fix

alecf - per our conversation yesterday re: acct mgr and prefs, should I reopen
this bug?
only if you want me to mark it fixed :) I fixed this before beta1, after we had
decided not to combine the account manager & prefs for beta1.
