User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031122 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031122 This is a frustrating bug that seems to surface every few versions. When I click on file.gz to download it, I DO NOT NEED MOZILLA TO SO HELPFULLY RENAME IT TO file.gz.tgz! Nor do I need file.mp3 to become file.mp3.mp2. In the past, it has auto gunzip stuff, such that file.ext.gz becomes file.ext (unzipped). Please PLEASE, set an option in preferences and let the default be "DOWNLOAD UNCHANGED!!!!!" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. click on file to download (example, file.gz) 2. file begins to download. In the save window, the filename is now "file.gz.tgz" 3. Actual Results: file got saved as file.gz.tgz Expected Results: should not have mucked with the filename. I was happily using mozilla 1.3. Decided to upgrade to 1.5 on my gentoo box since the default homepage kept asking me to upgrade. I SHOULD NOT HAVE. I HATE THIS "FEATURE".
