User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031208 Mozilla browser and mail have an option of blocking images from the given server by right clicking on the image and selecting "Block images from this server" option. This option is missing from thunderbird. I find this option very usefull (yahoo groups messages as example) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open mail with image 2.right clink on the image Actual Results: Menu doesn't have "Block images from this server" option Expected Results: Menu with "Block images from this server" as mozilla
I would find the inverted version really useful. I'd like to block all images, EXCEPT those from viable servers. That way I can block all the images in all the spam that I get (1000 / day), and still allow images in my monthly statements and other legitimate mail.
The exceptions list approach is IMHO much better: in the menu where block/allow loading remote images it is possible to add exceptions: If you allow loading remote images: exception means "blocking" If you stop loading: exception means "allow"
Due to excessive amounts of spam these days I really could use the ability to block *all* and then simply make exceptions for the images I need to load. If I could vote for this improvement I would.
Aggressively marking as duplicate of bug 216133. If there is something you would like to do that's not done by the current image blocking code, please reopen. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 216133 ***
