Error Code: -5990." the site is online and I can reach it with mozilla 1.5 or 1.4. I am behind a firewall. But encrypted connections to some sites (for instance https://freemail.de or https://office.freenet.de) are working. an other site with this behavior: http://www.ikea-usa.com/ select the "my profile" link. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.try to go to http://www.adobe.com/cgi-bin/redirect?http://www.fortune.com/bestcompanies/snapshot/0,15154,5,00.html 2. wait some time 3. Actual Results: got an errorbox: "Error establishing an encrypted connection cgi.timeinc.com. Errorcode: -5990 after that came a second box, which said, that the connection has timed out. Expected Results: load the page
Did you try to disable OSCP in edit\preferences\Privacy&Security\Validation ?

With OSCP _disabled_ I can load both pages sucessfully. My setting has been: "Use OCSP to validate only certificates that specify an OCSP service URL".
