Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 The "Send by E-mail for Review" function in Acrobat Professional 6.0 does not connect correctly with Mozilla Mail and does not send the "message for review." Possibly a MAPI incompatability. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Opened PDF 2. Clicked File -> Send by E-mail for Review -> manually typed in valid address in the To: text box. 3. Clicked Send Actual Results: The "Send by E-mail for Review" dialog box cleared and the message appeared to have been send. But no e-mail was ever recieved by the e-mail account. The account was confirmed to be valid by an additional message being sent from Mozilla Mail to that account after Acrobat's atempt. Expected Results: Delivered a generic message with a PDF attachment generated by Acrobat 6.0, like this: _________________________________________________________________________________ Subject: Please Review the Attached Document: Main layout-Certified.pdf Please review and comment on the attached document: Main layout-Certified.pdf. Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional or Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard, or later, is required to participate in this review. 1. First, open the attachment. --- 2. Upgraded to Acrobat 6.0.1 11/23/2003, no fix.
There were recently several fixes to Mozilla's MAPI interface which may address this problem. Please try Mozilla 1.7RC3 and report whether the problem still exists.
Reporter (Joe) -- are you still seeing this problem with Mozilla 1.7?
Just installed Mozilla 1.8 alpha2. Seems to work now. I would say the bug is fixed. Mozilla confims that I want to send an e-mail from an external program and then I recieve the e-mail along with a pdf in my Inbox. Great work!
Duping to the main recently-fixed MAPI bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 108275 ***
