Spun off from bug 230902 comment 15
{{
Talkback files are back;
However, I noticed that <master.ini>, <manifest.ini> and <permdata.box> contain
{
VendorID = "Netscape"
ProductID = "Gecko1.4"
PlatformID = "Win32"
BuildID = "2003062408"
}
which seems obsolete. (== very confusing, if I guess right :-()
}}
B)
Then, possible obsolete URL experienced in:
*bug 230902 comment 16: talkback5.netscape.com
*bug 228111 comment 3: <http://spiral.netscape.com/spiral-bin/Collector.dll>
*) Is this configuration intended, or should it be fixed in v1.6.1/v1.7a ??

[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113] (W98SE)
Talkback generated and sent 1 report;
Since then, it has started (taskbar icon) to load then "immediatly" disappeared
twice :-(

(copied from n.p.m.seamonkey/GervaseM)
{
Yes, talkback.mozilla.org currently _points_ at talkback.netscape.com until we
have our own talkback servers. After we do, it'll get repointed, and all the
1.6s will magically start sending us talkback.
}
This may explain my comment 3 !?

if that's the information from the 1.6 master.ini, then yes, it's busted. I
thought i updated it with current information (we were hoping for 1.6 talkback
to work when we finally got mozilla.org talkback servers working, but if i
messed up the master.ini, it's somewhat fruitless).
I will verify this and post corrected xpi/installer files, for future downloads.

this nightly of 1.7a still has only a 1 kb sized placeholder for talkback, the
real thing is in the region of 300 kb for Windows and 700 kb for Linux.
Seems there is no Talkback for 1.7a ?

The content of the files is right, and TalkBack ran "successfully" once...
{
VendorID = "Mozilla.org"
ProductID = "Mozilla1.7"
PlatformID = "Win32"
BuildID = "2004021913"
ServerAddress0 = 1, "http://talkback.mozilla.org/spiral-bin/Collector.dll"
}
About comment 1:
File a new bug if the Cut&Paste behaviour is needed. (It couldn't hurt.)
