Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040110 Firebird/0.8.0+ (scragz) Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.5a (20040120) When I have Junk Mail Controls enabled on an IMAP account and configured to move Junk messages to a local Junk folder I cannot scroll messages in the Preview Pane while messages are being downloaded from the server, presumably to be checked for Junk content. The problem is especially noticable when I change to an IMAP folder with 100s of new messages. First, all the headers are downloaded. Then I click on a message to read it. If the message is more than can fit in the Preview Pane I try to scroll down to read the rest of the message. If the Junk Mail Controls are still downloading the new messages, everytime a new message starts to download (or perhaps when the previous message finishes, I can't tell because it happens quickly) the message in the Preview Pane resets to the top of the message. As a result, I cannot read new messages in accounts setup as described until all new messages are downloaded. Sorry for the run-on sentences and such, I hope the description is clear. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable Junk Mail Controls and moving Junk messages to a different folder 2. Open a folder on an IMAP server with many new messages 3. Let the new headers download and try to read a message that requires scrolling Actual Results: The message in the preview pane resets to the top of the message repeatadly until all new messages are downloaded. Expected Results: Let me scroll down without resetting.
After looking through the mozillazine forums I found http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=220173 which I think my bug is a dupe of. Thanks for fixing it!
