User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 This is a very strange bug. a quicktime plugin running in a background tab is still controlable if another tab or mozilla instance is in the foreground. - go to http://whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com/ - enter high bandwidth version - click on the rightmost "monitor" in the second row of the "reloaded" panel (reloaded soundtrack) - click on matrix reloaded (the quicktime plugin is started (i have version 6.0)) - create a second tab (let's say open http://www.mozilla.org/start/) - switch to the matrix tab once again - move the mouse to "deftones" (the cursour changes to a hand) - press "ctrl-tab" to switch to the mozilla tab (don't move the mouse) the mouse cursour still looks like a hand - you can even left click and change tunes of the quicktime plugin in the background tab. if you move the mouse slowly up and down it changes to the correct cursour (text cursour or normal cursour on the mozilla page) but will change back to the hand cursour at some positions. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
I couldn't quite find the content to reproduce this but it looks like several other plugin window/tab event bugs. possible dupes Bug 223575 - events sent to wrong tab when running embedded Acrobat Reader Bug 231891 - controls in background tab of a quicktime plugin are active in foreground tab or second mozilla window Bug 233780 - Flash continues to respond to events (like mouseover) even on another tab not in the foreground.
