I get a crash when closing a page that has java on it before the page has
finished loading. I'm not sure if this is a duplicate of Bug 98365 or not.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Go to: http://globe.sintef.no/
2) Scroll down to the "Demos" section.
3) Right click on the "Global land and ocean with texture" link and select open
in new window.
4) Wait till you see the grey of the java applet
5) Before the page finishes loading, close the window.
Actual Results:
The browser will crash.

I don't believe this bug is a dup of bug #98365. Or, at least, this bug summary
is more descriptive. Also bug #143276 seems a better candidate to be the main bug.
Anyway, I'm having the same issue in Mozilla on Linux for a long time. Java
applets work great, but if you close the browser window before the applet starts
Mozilla will just hang.
