call me lame, but I do this all the time: I select the url in the url bar, and paste it (middle button) into an xterm. if I do select some text, and then hit Alt C (to copy) then middle button works, since the text got into the clip board. the desired effect on linux would be to put the last selected text into the clipboard. comments?
