I compared Netscape 4.77 Netscape 7.1 Mozilla 1.6 With Mozilla , searching a mail folder with 30,000 messages ( 100 folders) for a keyword in the subject (not even body!) takes much longer than the same search With Netscape Communicator 4.77 Mozilla build search database the first search - this building takes very long time. The second search is slower then Netscape Communicator 4.77. So …. I tried Netscape 7.1 ( build on top of Mozilla ) : The search hang for 12 hours trying to build the search database - useless . Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1Load 30,000 emails in about 100 folders 2.serach for any string in the Subject 3. Actual Results: Mozilla build search database the first search - this building takes very long time. The second search is slower then Netscape Communicator 4.77.
