this is fixed on windows, but not on linux, I am able to launch two apps from
two windows with same profile

The real thing that need to happen here is that when the user tries to launch
the browser from the second window, the browser should come up and it should use
the same profile that the browser launched in first window.
Even if there are multiple profiles, profilemanager shuld not come up. The
browser should come up using the current profile in use.
I doubt if there is any work that profilemanager has to do here. I will nominate
this for beta3 and keep thig bug with us for any profile manager work. But we
have to make sure that original bug does the right thing on all platforms.

This looks like a release notes item, nsbeta3-.

It seems unclear to me whether this bug requires either of a "developer" or
"user" release note. If anyone feels it does, can they please draft one and then
nominate with the relnote-user or relnote-rtm strings in the Status Whiteboard.
Thanks :-)

Bug 32122 is fixed and we can't bring up 2 instances of mozilla. Hence no
multiple instances of profile manager if the same app is run 2 times.

Is this a profile issue? Anybody know where the patch for Windows was applied to
keep more than one instance from running?

Bhuvan, do you know how this was fixed on Windows? Or how to do the same thing
on Unix?
