For messages in my inbox that are quoted-printable the last character is often
in a new line of its own. I will try to attach a sample.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select Message
2. Scroll to end
Actual Results:
Last Character in a single line, like this:
Greeting
s
Expected Results:
The last line in one piece, like this:
Greetings
Manually removin the quoted-printable header from the mail does remove this
Problem - although I would not call this a workaround.
The problem is really annoying if there is an URL in the last line.

I hope this shows the bug in the web browser window as well...

Which character do you expect to see wrapped in that sample? I'm not seeing any
wrapped (1.8a-0420, Win2K), after integrating that message into my email.
(Loading into the web browser shows a different problem: the message is parsed
correctly, stored internally as UTF-8, and then displayed [as mail] as if the
UTF-8 character sequence were in fact ISO-8859-1. That's bug 129443.)

This looks like a more general version of bug 225552.

Martin von Gagern, a patch was checked in for bug 90161 which may have fixed
this problem. Do you still see the symptom with current 1.8 nightlies?

It might take me a while to check this - so far I've been using the Gentoo
portage system to build mozilla. I could try a manual binary install, but I
would prefer to have this build as similar to my current one as possible, so
I'll try to adapt portage to build from the nightly sources. I have no idea how
difficult this could become.
