User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040503 Firefox/0.8.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040503 Firefox/0.8.0+ Firefox locks up on any https site which should produce a security dialog. Status bar indicates "Connected to sf.net", title bar for main FF window goes inactive. Clicking on the window gives a beep. Obviously, FF assumes the dialog is open, which it is not. Only way to resolve is to kill firefox.exe, and restart. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to https://sf.net 2. 3. Actual Results: Status Bar: "Connected to sf.net" Firefox Window becomes in active. No Security Warning Dialog. Expected Results: Security Dialog pops up. Continues with a new profile, and a new install.

Dupe of bug 242520?
Yes, same issue, although this bug has more detailed info. It doesn't actually stop responding, just no dialog pops up, rendering it unusable. 04-29 works, 04-30 onwards do not.
