User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 When using multiple monitors/displays, the menus (toplevel and context) appear on the primary display even though FireFox is on the secondary display. The menus appear flush to the right side of display 1 (primary) when display 2 is placed to the right of display 1. I believe this may not happen if the system is booted in multi-monitor configuration; I can duplicate it by booting with a single monitor, then enabling the second monitor after boot. It may only require disabling the secondary monitor and re-enabling it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot PC in single-monitor configuration 2. enable second monitor 3. start FireFox and drag onto secondary display 4. open a menu Actual Results: Menus appear on primary display Expected Results: Menus should appear on the same display as FireFox

This bug does not seem to be a duplicate of 135079. Tested in Mozilla 1.8a (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040513). This is not related to rollover or flickering or such. The entire menu appears on the wrong display! Steps: 1) Start computer in single-display mode. 2) enable secondary display (mine is to the left of my primary) 3) start Mozilla and move it to the secondary display. 4) select any menu (top-level or context) -- it appears on the primary display. 5) move Mozilla back to primary display and close Mozilla 6) open Mozilla and move to secondary display 7) Menus open on secondary (correct) display.

Please consider this bug because it is VERY annoying while working. All menus created by Firefox 0.8 (it doesn't occur right clicking on title bar) appear in the primary display, even if firefox is in the secondary. This IS NOT bug 135079!
Please reopen bug 242858 if this bug is still present. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 242858 ***

Verifying old and obvious dupes. Sorry for bugspam.

This happens if Firefox is currently running when you switch to multi-monitor mode. If you then drag Firefox to another screen, the menus will still pop up on the original screen. If you launch Firefox _after_ you've switched to multi-screen mode, the menus display OK.
Sorry, first time I use the bugzilla system and didn't see that the "reproducing of the bug description" was already included.
