Basically this is bug 168353 again. But since that's so old, i file a new one. Got to a web page e.g., http://www.google.com Click File - SEND LINK Mail comes up, but the link address is missing from the body or attachment window. The mail also arrives empty. Component is a bit unclear but bug 168353 was filed under MailNews.

this is a bug in mail not firefox. It is a regression caused by Bug #192557.

The regression has been backed out of the aviary 1.0 branch so this is fixed on the branch. I'll let Neil decide if he wants to back out the orignal patch that caused this or make RebuildDocumentFromSource work in the mailto case.

This is also occuring on a Macintosh using Mozilla 1.8a2 build 2004061408 under OS x 10.3.4 does not occur with 1.8a2 build 200406098

I'm marking this fixed since Neil's patch got checked in that fixed this regression.

Bug is still present in Mozilla 1.8a2 build 2004070708 for Mac using OS X 10.3.4. Do I need to refile as a new bug under browser?

Of course it's still present in the 2004-07-07-07 builds, as it wasn't checked in until then. Try today's 08 builds when they come out.
