Maybe only <textarea>'s should allow newlines, chop everything else at the first
instance?

In Firefox, nightly trunk build 20050419, if I paste text into the location bar,
and that text contains a newline, then everything from the newline onwards isn't
pasted.
That's pretty much what this bug is asking for, isn't it?
Please confirm with a recent trunk nightly. Perhaps Linux builds are behaving
differently to Mac and Windows builds? If I don't hear back, I'll mark it as
WORKSFORME.
This bug may be superseded by whatever comes out of bug 23485, anyway.

Okay, I see from getting a friend to test that Linux builds DO behave
differently to Windows/Mac ones, in that respect. He only tested 1.0, but
there's no reason to believe it's been fixed since. I'll leave this open. Sorry :)
