Probably related to bug 236067 Maybe only <textarea>'s should allow newlines, chop everything else at the first instance?

REOPEN: This seems to be the opposite of what was described in the mozilla bug. What version are you using?

In Firefox, nightly trunk build 20050419, if I paste text into the location bar, and that text contains a newline, then everything from the newline onwards isn't pasted. That's pretty much what this bug is asking for, isn't it? Please confirm with a recent trunk nightly. Perhaps Linux builds are behaving differently to Mac and Windows builds? If I don't hear back, I'll mark it as WORKSFORME. This bug may be superseded by whatever comes out of bug 23485, anyway.
Okay, I see from getting a friend to test that Linux builds DO behave differently to Windows/Mac ones, in that respect. He only tested 1.0, but there's no reason to believe it's been fixed since. I'll leave this open. Sorry :)
