A few reasons: - Provide URLs to other websites such as bugzilla / forum - Answer frequently asked or complained about things before they are asked or complained about - Allow the developer himself to give some description This will help with the following currently seen problems: - Users submitting bugs in the comments section, therefore making developers have to rate their own project in order to reply (not an ethical thing to do in my eyes) - Same goes for general discussion in comments, it's not a forum - Providing other otherwise non-displayed information is not possible Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

That's besides the point, because eventually they will be able to; I'm thinking this would be a much requested addition by devlopers once they /can/ log in - I'm thinking ahead here.

I'd like to see a "Reply to feedback" much like eBay has. Currently if someone posts a completely false comment, there's nothing I as a developer can do. Maybe this bug should be dependent on bug 247144 ?
