The web site icons in bookmarks don't update ok. For an example, slashdot, when
i visit the site the icon isn't always updated in the bookmarks, and why is that
important? Because the one's that are already in the bookmarks randomly vanish.
After that it takes several visits and several days until firefox picks the icon
again. Note that the icon is always shown at the tab and the address bar.
Another thing, it looks like that the icons are saved only when i exit firefox
using the menu, not when close it using my windowmanager .

Firefox/0.9.1+ having the same problemo, except for slashdot works for me :P

In my case, the following site icons are never updated:
- http://www.waarschuwingsdienst.nl
- http://www.kelkoo.nl
- http://frontpage.fok.nl
And probably lots more...

I'm not sure whether the following is the same bug or not: the site icon is never saved when I create a bookmark (although it is visible on the tab and in the URL bar), but only when I use an already-existing bookmark to visit the site.

BTW: Is this a Firefox bug or a SeaMonkey bug? I found it under the MozSuite product, but all UA strings other than mine (comment #0, comment #2) mention Firefox.

And finally: It's been quite some time since Fx 0.9 was trunk, or even merely supported. Is this bug still valid?

Can't reproduce with browser.chrome.favicons set to true, closing as WFM
