User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.2 Previously submitted and summarily rejected for mozilla suite. Here goes: Problem: Password manager has often saved bad passwords on me because I was not sure I entered the right one before I told firefox to save it. Going back and entering a different password results in having two optional passwords in the manager, and chances are you'll not be able to tell which one is right because they are both ****'s in the manager. Then the solutino is to go back, delete both, and finally enter the correct password a second time. Solution: It would be easier if password manager would wait for the next page to load before asking if I want to save the password. Or possibly, make the dialog independent of page load activity. That way, I can see if I entered the right or wrong password (behind the dialog) before I choose to save it. With the current behavior, my choice is a roll of the dice unless I am absolutely sure I know my password. And it is a pain in the butt correcting the situation once I have chosen to save a bad one. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to a page that requires a password. 2.enter your id and password and log in Actual Results: Password manager pops up before you know if you entered the right password. Expected Results: Password manager should wait for the next page to load, so if it is an error page, you can choose "No" and not accidentally save a bad password.
Bug 239241 will add a Show Passwords button to the passwords manager.
