Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.1) Gecko/20040707
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.1) Gecko/20040707
When draggin and dropping an attachment with accents in the name (like tést.asf)
to a DivX player (already opened), it don't open - message in Mail window : "
Unable to save attachment. Please check your file name and try again later. "
Then the Download Manager (automatically opened) stay with just a 'C:' in the
name place.
And when I try to drop it in the Windows Media Player window, the message pop as
well, but the window freeze - in fact, then all of the Mozilla's windows freeze
(mail and navigator) ... after a while, closing WMP and some Mozilla windows,
the mail run again, and I can press OK in the message.
In this week, after doing it, Mozilla crashed and one report was sent
automatically - probably is here somewhere between 07/19 and 07/20.
Odd thing, it save the attachment ok, it just happend when I drag and drop it,
and when the attachment name have an accent.
One last thing: when using drag and drop, the attachment is saved to the root
directory (C:\ ) instead of the temporary directory (C:\temp, or
C:\windows\temp) set in Mail. I'll open other report to this.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. receive an email with an attachment, the attachmet name must have a accent
(like tést.avi)
2. open the email
3. open a player, DivX player or WMP
4. drag and drop the attachment to the player
Actual Results:
Using the DivX player, a message in the Mail window : " Unable to save
attachment. Please check your file name and try again later. "
Using WMP, the same message, and Mozilla's windows freeze.
Expected Results:
Opened / played the attachment in the player, just like it do when I click twice
in the attachment.
In this week, after doing all this, Mozilla crashed and one report was sent
automatically - probably is here somewhere between 07/19 and 07/20.
