Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3 If you open sufficient tabs, eventually Firefox gives up trying to make them any smaller. This is perfectly reasonable. The problem is that after this point, new tabs which are opened are "vanished" off the right-hand side of the bar, with no indication that overflow has happened and the new tabs are there. This *isn't* so reasonable. All the feedback is that Firefox simply hasn't opened the tab as requested; you don't find out that it has until you close a few, and suddenly tabs you'd forgotten trying to open magically appear... Some kind of drop-down arrow, as on the bookmarks toolbar folder, would be best, I think. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open lots of tabs. The exact number will depend on how wide your browser window is. I'm afraid I didn't count how many I had. Actual Results: New tabs were in limbo. Expected Results: Indicated via some UI feedback that the tab had been opened, and space on the tab-bar had been exhausted. Default theme.
See bug 155325 and bug 196436. They are seamonkey bugs though, and that code was forked.
