Details

* TITLE/SUMMARY Scrolling selected text in Viewer yields appended character gunk at EOLs [seems like should be a known bug, but can't find any searching for "scroll", "select", or looking through mjudge's bugs.] * STEPS TO REPRODUCE 0) Launch Viewer 1) Select a bunch of text on a web page (I've used both the test0.html page, or the simpler www.macfixit.com web page; just a few sentences will do.) 2) Scroll downwards, until the selected text is no longer visible. 3) Scroll back upwards. * RESULT - What happened The right-border of the selected text is appeneded with lots of character junk that looks like random memory, mostly repeated identically on each line. (i.e text from other <P>s on the page, or just unintelligible crud. Crud changes each time you resize the window, and repeat steps 2 & 3. - What was expected No unwanted appendages (so to speak). * REGRESSION - Occurs On viewer (1.22.99 optimized build for Mac OS) viewer (1.21.99 optimized build for Win32 [NT 4, Service Pack 3]) - Can't Reproduce On viewer (1.22.99 optimized build for Linux --- can't select text ;) * CONFIGURATIONS TESTED - [Mac] Power Mac 8500/120 (233 Mhz 604e), 64 MB RAM (VM on; 1 MB of VM used), 1024x768 (Thousands of Colors), Mac OS 8.5.1 - [Win32] Vectra VL (233 Mhz P2), 96 MB RAM, 800x600 (True Color), NT 4.0 SP3. - [Linux] Vectra VL (P2)

This no longer takes place using the 2.8.99 Mac OS build or 2.4.99 Win32 build on either of the cited sites. Thus, I'm going to mark this as Verified/Fixed. (Please re-open if this conclusion is in error; thanks!))
