No, sending a message with an attached file doesn't crash my mozilla, but opening the copy in the Sent-Folder will do. Generally, my mozilla will always crash if i try to open a message/posting with an attachment. I have tried that with postings in the Newsgroup de.alt.dateien.misc, but another Newsgroup with postings with attachments should suffice. It also crashes when opening a mail with attachment received recently with double-click. Only selecting the mail in the thread-pane is not enough.

@2 Hrm, i had difficulties trying to delete a PM with an attachment sitting in my Inbox. Selecting this mail was enough to crash my Mozilla. ;)

IMAP mail, or POP? If IMAP, is the 'Sent' folder on the server or local?

POP3, but the crash also happens if you try to read a posting with an attachment. See #1. For me, 'Display Attachments Inline' is active. Choose a newsgroup with binaries and try to open a posting. That should suffice.

Confirmed here as well, I'll compare strace once my debug build finishes, and if same I'll also see if a cvs update + dep build (I currently clobber) fixes. For the record, any attempt at viewing a mail, (in the quick-view pane) crashes for me. Marking OS: all (winXP here so it is more than 1)

Setting this to Resolved = Fixed because the Patch for Bug 262244 has fixed this too, no need to leave this open. I have tested to view and send Messages with attachment serveral times with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20040930 Mnenhy/0.6.0.104 {Build ID: 2004093020} and it works fine, no crash.
