User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 The Calendar program is have two big problem: 1. the alarm is working only when the Calendar is opened 2. the alarm is not showed, only if Calendar Window is opened. That is very poor, because: - when I forget to open Calendar, alarms are not showed - when mozilla is opened, but calendar window is not, only the "lightly" (=poor) lighted mozilla calendar icon reports about alarms. So: 1. Mozilla is working good. When I open mozilla, and once open the Mail, after this operation I see the incoming mails - a task icon appear. Why the alarms isn't use task icons ? 2. I ever search for better and better alarm/calendar mgmt systems. These systems are supports cron like repeated jobs, and at type time based jobs. These systems are supports many "alarming", or "job" operations: - send a mail - popup a window - execute a file - execute an application - etc. And the most of these products are "resident" programs, with task icons. Calendar is good thing, but if it is not minimalizable to task icon, it is disturb the work, because his window is visible in taskbar. I think that is two way for solution: 1. task icon, and minimalizable Calendar - then it is can show the popups. 2. calendar must have a module, named residentcalendar. That is a resident program, that only can start the calendar editing window, and it handle the jobs/alarms. When I close the calendar editing program, the resident module is continue his work, and show popups, alarms. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
