Well, OK but Mozilla 1.7.1 is too old to get excited about. The entire popup blocking mechanism was rewritten since then, and any ongoing issues with popup blocking are interesting only if they occur with the new popup blocker. The older one present in 1.7.1 had many recognized vulnerabilities. The new blocker is currently available only in Mozilla trunk builds (latest: Mozilla 1.8a4) and Firefox branch builds (latest: 0.10 PR 1). Note that Firefox 0.10 PR 1 shipped with an easily exploited flaw, so really you should use a later build to test. At time of writing, there is no later release, so you'd have to use a nightly build. Ciprian, if you can reproduce this problem with a recent build, feel free to reopen. Please supply specifics. I expect the popup, whatever it is, to be stopped by the new code.
