It had an option that I found to be highly useful - you could tell it to mark any message as spam that did not match a particular character set. For example, I know no one that would email me in a different language, so I could safely set it to delete anything other than English emails. This weeded out the bulk of my spam, which was in korean. I'd be nice if Thunderbird had an option to do this in the Junk Mail Controls. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
