Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a Folder named "Tüt" 2. Place a html File into 3. Open it with Firefox Actual Results: Firefox doesn't open the html. I'm sorry, my error is in german: --Warnung-- Die Datei /c:/T%/test.html konnte nicht gefunden werden. bitte überprüfen Sie den Namen und versuchen Sie es nochmals. I think in English the error sounds like that: --Warning-- The File /c:/T%FCt/test.html can't be found. Please check the name and try it again. Expected Results: It should open the html file. This error didn't occure, when you open the Firefox Browser and drag the file via drag & drop into the window.

(In reply to comment #0) The error only occurs when there is already an open firefox window (see also duplicate Bug 269795), so steps to reproduce would be: 1. Open a firefox window 2. Create a file with a special char, for example: C:\tüt.html 3. Open the windows explorer, open the created file with firefox
