Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1) Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 0.9 (20041103) I have recently switched from Outlook Express (hereafter refered to as OE) to Thunderbird (hereafter refered to as TB). I have sucessfully managed to import my old address book contacts with the exception of the mailing lists I had previously created in OE. However, when I tried to recreate similar mailing lists in TB, I had to input the addresses manually, one address at a time, rather than click drag them into a new list as I previously did in OE. It would be really convenient if this feature could be fixed as it would save me precious time when creating a new mailing list. This is the only reason I currently regret switching over to TB, as the application is far more superior than OE. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Thunderbird 2. Click on Address Book 3. Click on New List 4. Try click dragging items from your contact list into the New List window that pops up. Actual Results: Unable to add contacts to a mailing list efficiently. Expected Results: Added the selected contacts to the mailing list
After naming the list and dismissing the dialog, you can select a list to view in the address book left pane, and drag items from the right pane to a list in the left pane. Dragging between list-dialog and ab-window indeed does not work. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 143355 ***
