not sure if this is a dup of bug 16294... occurs only on linux; used today's comm bits, 2000-02-08-09. 1. open the Preferences. 2. click on any of the categories. 3. repeat step 2. all the selected categories in the tree are blanked out with grey.

I am almost certain this is a dupe of a previous tree bug that we had. I cant remember the bug number and a quick glance at hyatt's XPToolkit bugs doesnt enlighten me, so I'm just going to reassign this to him.

hunh, i no longer see this using today's comm bits [2000-02-09-08].
