Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Thuderbird version 0.9 (20041103) Names in headers (e.g in To field) of the message appeared collapsed, though there is no need for that - if the names were not collapsed they still would be visible in one line. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open some message with right number and length of names (I reproduced on 4 names) 2. Show all headers Actual Results: Names appear collapsed Expected Results: There should be no collapse, as it is not necessary If you can't make the message to reproduce this, I will ask others whose names appear in my message to attach that message here.
This is quite easy to reproduce; just compose a message addressed to four very short addresses, e.g.: a@a.tld b@b.tld c@c.tld d@d.tld Save the message as a Draft and then look at the message in the Drafts folder; the To: list is collapsed to show three names, but the fourth easily fits on the same display line when the list is uncollapsed.

Ever confirmed: true
Summary: names in headers unnecessary collapsed → collapsing of names in headers doesn
Changing the title as it does not happen that short names are unnecesseray collapsed, but also that the long names are not collapsed, although that they should be, as they take 2 line (try with example of 3 long e-mail addresses). Also to apologize as I accidently pressed enter while editing title.
Summary: collapsing of names in headers doesn → collapsing of names in headers doesn't depend on length
The fix for this will be in TB 2.0 -- in fact, it should be in the 2-alpha build. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 335973 ***
