User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041210 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041210 Problem 1. Mozilla is inserting CRs where they are not to be inserted. Problem 2. This feature cannot be turned off - Problem 3. Sometimes the wrap to fit window does not work and only a hard CR entered manually will force the entry point to the start of a new line. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.With wrap plain text messages set at 1000, send an email. 2.Copy it from Sent to Drafts [for example to resend it]. 3.It displays properly wrapped in the preview window but if you edit it you find it has inserted CRs at position 72 of each line. Expected Results: It should only insert CRs at 1000 continuous characters if set to this value, therefore it should not insert line breaks every 72 characters, or before. If set to 0 it should never insert line breaks.

The original bug, 155622, dates back to 2002 [and was not in Netscape]. How do we know when this will be fixed?
This is not strictly a duplicate of 155622. By setting the "wrap plain text messages at" to 0 it should be possible to turn off the insertion of line breaks. I am requesting this. Also I am not sure whether the outgoing emails are identical to the email copies stored in the Sent folder because of the incorrect processing on retrieving the emails for editing.
