If you focus a filled textbox from the keyboard using "tab" key or "shift+tab", you can write one more character every times you do this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. fill a textbox 2. focus it using the keyboard 3. write anothe character Actual Results: another character appears in the text box. Expected Results: the maxlength property shouldn't permit to write in a filled textbox

I cannot reproduce this on this page (the alias box). Can you provide more explain your steps to reproduce in more detail?

Steps to reproduce are: type maxlength characters, tab, shift-tab, right-arrow to collapse selection, type (maxlength+1)th character, but it's a dup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 207623 ***
