Details

At certain web sites (naturally I can't find one just now), I think near the end of the page-loading process, Mozilla sometimes pops up a small message box indicating that it is unable to contact ad.doubleclick.net. Now, I believe the following statements are true: 1. I'm pretty sure my computer is not infected with adware from Doubleclick. 2. Doubleclick serves advertisements upon request by other web sites. 3. Doubleclick has been targeted with DOS attacks. The implication is that while loading a page from a desired site, some data is being requested by that page from the doubleclick site -- but DOS has caused the request to fail. Thus the popup from Mozilla. I do not consider this to be a bug. However... WHAT I WANT: The ability to specify to Mozilla a list of such sites to never bother trying to access, even if requested by a desired Web page. First on the list would be ad.doubleclick.net! Thank you!!!
