User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fi-FI; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fi-FI; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0 I have a folder (C:\Documents and Settings\Lauri\My Documents\My Documents\Opinnot\vanhat\S-38.188 Tietoliikenneverkot (3 ov)\Vanhoja tenttejä) where I store old exams from a particular university course. I saved a .htm file in that folder and tried to open it. Then FF showed an error that said in Finnish: "Tiedostoa \C:\Documents and Settings\Lauri\My Documents\My Documents\Opinnot\vanhat\S-38.188 Tietoliikenneverkot (3 ov)\Vanhoja tenttej%E4 ei löydy. Tarkista sen sijainti ja yritä uudelleen." It says in English something like "The file ... can't be found. Check it's location and try again." So the ä-letter was changed into %E4. I changed ä to a and the problem disappeared. The problem appears also on other scandinavian letters like ö -> %F6 and å -> %E5. It appears also when the file itself includes scandinavian letters. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Save a .htm or .html file in a folder. 2. Name that folder or file so that it includes scandinavian letters. 3. Open it. Actual Results: Firefox reported that it can't find the file. Expected Results: It should have opened the file normally. Bug #269392 may be related to this one.
