User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050224 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050224 - I updated today from the 20050221 nightly build, which didn't had this issue. - I tried with a clean profile. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Navigator or Mail&News. [2. Optional: Load a page or see a message] 3. Close all mozilla windows. Actual Results: 80% of times, it apparently closes, but mozilla.exe stays in memory with 99% usage.

behaves just like recent bug 280427 -> bug 280456, but occures in newer builds Recently also reported in bug 283823 and bug 284204
Resolving as WFM as I haven't seen this in any later nightly build.
